Mid North Coast - Paediatric Diabetes Education Day
This project was a one day Workshop held in June 2005. Speakers included:
- Local Diabetes Educators
- Paediatric Endocrinologist
- Paediatric Speaker
- Parent (their perspective)
30 staff attended from the Hunter Valley to Tweed Heads including 2 local GP's. (10 cancellations were received due to flooding and high risk travel). The day provided the Nursing and Allied Health Staff with the opportunity to continue their professional development whilst working in a regional centre. It outlined Best Practice for children with Diabetic Disease.
