Clinical Handover

Clinical handover is an important component of patient care, reducing duplication and ensuring that the patient/client receives an optimal service. Effective discharge and referrals are often flagged as areas of concern by both tertiary clinicians and those in local facilities. There is a large amount of information regarding the importance of clinical handover along with the use of formalised 'tools of handover', to ensure client safety and quality control.

The Allied to Kids website aims to provide access to resources that will aid clinical handover for use by Allied Health professionals working with children across NSW.

If you are aware of any resources that would be of use in supporting effective clinical handover, but aren't listed on the attached pages, then please send us an email.
